Dear Sirs Worcester Marina My wife and I are continuously cruising the waterways on our narrow boat. We are in our third year about to finish the whole system. This month we came to the above marina to have various jobs done on the boat and we were constantly pleasantly surprised at the way Darren and all his team treated us and at the high quality of the work undertaken. Also we were tremendously pleased at the way the prices quoted were the true prices. So many boatyards/marinas have ‘fiddled’ us with no mention of VAT added on until you come to pay; quotes for the basic job with no mention of other “extras”, or finding out later from other boaters or marinas that the job done was a ‘rip off’ or botched etc. which has caused us both to become very wary and cynical. Here, however help and advice about the jobs done and any other anxieties I have voiced about the boat were given by members of the team and Darren without hesitation and with great honesty. (If any of the team didn’t know the answers to my questions they said so which again was refreshing). Finally I would also say that we stayed on the boat throughout and became aware of the team at work generally and again we were very surprised at the genuine warmth of the relationships and respect shown to each other. At this point in time – a friendly crew happy to be at work and nice to be around. All this has helped build up our trust here so we will without hesitation certainly recommend to other boaters in the area or coming this way to use Worcester and as we have further work needing to be done we intend to be back after our stay on this canal. Waterways World – Waterlines “Having decided that our boat was in desperate need of a hull blacking, whilst on holiday in the area we decided to try Worcester Marina. The service that we received was so exceptional that we felt it deserved a public mention. Every member of staff that we spoke to was friendly, approachable and professional, and couldn't do enough for us – from the first phone call to finally paying the bill and collecting our boat. It must be the first time that we haven't minded paying a bill! Since it was late afternoon on a Friday when we collected the boat, we were even invited to moor in the marina to avoid the centre of Worcester . We were even provided with a free manoeuvring lesson when reversing the boat out of the dry dock – easy for many but not for a novice, especially under the watchful eyes of families collecting their hire boats for their holiday.
